Short bio:
My name is Arryn Seburn, I’m 26 years old and I am currently a MLIS student at Dalhousie School of Information Management. I have worked in libraries for nearly 10 years and I am very interested in how social media is affecting this profession.

Decided to join the SM team because:
I would like the opportunity to explore the nuances of operating a professional social media outlet as well as promoting a growing facet in the field of information management. I would also like the opportunity to work with the leaders and forerunners in this field.

Short bio:
Born and raised in Cameroon with HS certificates in English and French. Attended universities in Cameroon, Nigeria and the USA with Graduate degrees in Zoology and Information Science and concurrently rounding up a doctorate in Agricultural Information Education and Communication, while serving as library liaison for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource Management, the department of Biological Sciences, chemistry and Biochemistry. Active in SLA, USAIN and ASIST.

Decided to join the SM team because:
It is a way of contributing to information dissemination within and without the special interest group. A great opportunity to learn and also hone my social media skills by working with a SM team of like-minded professionals.

Sara Knezevic (Information Service Professional – Dalhousie University, School of Information Management)

Short bio:
As a result of a school project in one of the MLIS classes taught by Dr. Gruzd’s, Sara developed interest in social media marketing for lawyers. She is working at exploring the various uses of social media tools, and expanding her knowledge in the field, by getting involved in projects like this one and collaborating with information services professionals with similar interests like her own.

Decided to join the SM team because:
I have a great interest in getting involved with like-minded professionals who have similar interests like my own, which is exploring various uses of social media tools.
